Global Connections opened for business on July 19, 1996 to service one travel club. Currently, more than 170,000 people enjoy membership in the Global Discovery Vacations and Vacation Quest travel clubs.
As the membership grew so did demand for resort locations. In 2004, GCI purchased its first resort, Sea Shells Beach Club, and turned a failing hotel into a thriving condominium resort location. Since that time, Global Connections has developed or renovated seven properties, with five remaining in its management and in use with the travel club.
Global Connections Inc sells the travel club through sales distributorships located in cities across the United States. Global Connections has five offices with its headquarters remaining in Overland Park, Kansas.
